The Association is established to co-ordinate and assist former participants of different
programs of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) of the US Department
of State (former USIA) and some other governmental and private foundations.
Our goals are:
- To strengthen the local community through the effective positive contributions of
the skills and knowledge gained by alumni in the USA;
- To promote the ideas of freedom and democracy, taking responsibility for our own
civic and economic future;
- To develop free market economy principles through support for in-service and academic
training programs, development of community relations initiatives, social entrepreneurship
and policy research;
- To disseminate the experience, skills and visions gained for bringing the greatest
social and economic benefits to our society;
- To benefit individuals from the Russian-American co-operation on all levels of academic,
government, media, business and arts.
To reach these goals the Association is assigned to provide the following activities for
the members of the Association:
- deliver conferences, seminars, consulting;
- provide access to information resources of American institutions, foundations, public
organizations and etc;
- inter-work with regional government for nexus advancement;
- Co-operate with American public institutions, foundations and individuals.
TAAAP SERVICES available to foreign visitors and their Russian hosts, friends and colleagues
As part of our stated mission to support interaction among alumni and between alumni and their counterparts in the U.S.,
TAAAP is pleased to announce that we are able to provide the following services:
- Visa invitations-TAAAP is certified by the Russian Foreign Ministry to issue invitations for foreigners to visit Tomsk.
- OVIR registration- All foreign visitors to Russia must register with the authorities with 3 days of arrival additionally Tomsk
Oblast has special regulations which require re-registration in Tomsk. TAAAP can handle this for visitors.
- Hotel reservations, home stays, apartment rentals.
- Transportation- Airport transfer, Car or van and driver, Car rentals with insurance.
- Interpreters and translators- Among our members are many qualified interpreters and translators.
- Sight seeing.
- Escorted visits to cultural events.
- Introductions and meeting arrangements.
All the above services will be provided at modest fees which cover the costs.
Given the eclecticism of our membership, we are capable of making whatever arrangements
